Still Life With Landscape

Artist Sarah Sze constructs a beautiful new habitat for wildlife in the urban environment with her sculptural installation, “Still Life With Landscape,” on view at the High Line through June 2012, between West 20th and 21st Streets:

The architecture, complex and dynamic, acts as a bird, butterfly and insect observatory, with perches, feeding spots and birdbaths throughout… The artwork is simultaneously an observatory, an experiment, and a metropolis, evoking urban construction, scientific models, and attempts to capture nature in situ.
