Hungarian Master

Not quite as well-known as his contemporaries Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Paulin, Hungarian designer Mathieu Matégot’s (1910 – 2001) work is rightfully celebrated in a new exhibition at Jousse Entreprise Gallery in Paris. The furniture designer worked in one-off mode, personally responsible for each element of production. The show will run through June, a rare chance to view the designer’s iconic wares.
