Japanese in Spain

Barcelona may not be the first city that comes to mind when you think of extraordinary Japanese cuisine but Koy Shunka, a recently-awaed Michelin-star restaurant located in the heart of city, could certainly change this. Chef Hideki Matsuhis was educated in the art of japanese cuisine at his father’s restaurant in Tokyo and serves a masterfully crafted menu using only the best ingredients. The restaurant’s elegant 370 sqm interiors, comprised of a harmonious balance of woods, stainless steel and lights, are as impeccable as the food – designed by architect and photographer (and a dear friend of Wert & Co.) Pedro Cortacans.
