British industrial designer Kenneth Grange was knighted as part of the New Year Honours announced at the end of 2012. Called “Britain’s leading product designer” by the Design Museum, a retrospective exhibition was held there in 2011 to celebrate the prolific master’s work. He co-founded Pentagram in 1972, and is known for designing many of Britain’s iconic elements – including Kodak cameras, the Anglepoise lamp, the Intercity 125 train, and the TX1 London Taxi.
