Koolhaas in Art & Film

Dutch architect, theorist, Harvard professor, and Pritzker prize winner Rem Koolhaas has been appointed director of architecture for the 2014 Venice Biennale. Koolhaas will curate with an eye toward “discovering something new in architecture.” A film on the architect’s buildings is also in the works, being created and directed by his son Tomas. In an interview on archpaper, Tomas discusses the film and his decision to focus on the “human interaction with the work” – the people using and living in his father’s buildings, as well as those who worked to build them.
