The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.

Leigh enjoys being part of a team of independent-minded collaborators who are conceptual and passionate about their work. Her inherent curiosity in others (with humor and wit), complements a personal approach to recruitment; and her professional interests in arts, culture, design, social impact, and sustainability fully align with Wert&Co.’s creative community.
Originally from Ohio and raised in the splendor of northern New Mexico, Leigh has called New York City home since attending Barnard College. Transitioning from high-end art framing and conservation consulting (including digital arts management) to arts administration for The Willem de Kooning Foundation, Leigh is ever cultivating an interest in visual culture. With an archivist’s care for detail and rigor, she plays an important role in our industry research and knowledge management – ensuring the flow and efficiency of Wert&Co.’s search strategy and methodologies.
She is an enthusiastic reader of The New Yorker and watcher of 10-year-old TV shows. Leigh has a hard time passing up a good flea market find and in the perpetual challenge of feeding her young family, can whip up a mean meal out of her fridge contents on any given day.
